Finally, a Phenomenally Chic Way to Wear Your Hair at the Gym – Vogue.com

At today’s Tod’s Spring 2018 fashion show in Milan, the Italian fashion house offered up sumptuous leisurewear for exploring the countryside, from earth-toned chambray sundresses to pastel nylon windbreakers. And whether it’s a jaunt to Positano or Tuscany, there’s a breeze in the forecast, according to hairstylist Pierpaolo Lai.

With hair pulled back low and loose, each of the models—including Kendall Jenner, Vittoria Ceretti, Liu Wen, and Yasmin Wijnaldum—were given the windswept treatment in the front, with wisps deftly sculpted around the face for an air-dried-in-a-hurry feel. For some, like Jenner, the cropped strands were merely forehead-grazing, while for others, the loose wisps floated around the ears for a more romantic effect.

And while the fresh, textured styles felt right at home with the ultra-luxurious clothes on the runway, their athleisure appeal was impossible to ignore. Think: Gym hair at its most elevated. And it’s as simple as pulling out a few soft wisps from your slapdash knot, too. Just add some grit with a little texture spray, or hard-earned sweat, and you’re good to go. Even better is if your gym bag gets the leather treatment, replete with fringed or python-trimming accents the brand is known for. After all, true beauty is found in the small and unexpected details.
