Hair-raising event at Lakeville brewpub to help kids with hair loss – TwinCities.com-Pioneer Press
A Saturday fundraiser at a Lakeville brewpub is sure to get hairy.
Lakeville Brewing Company (8790 Upper 208th St. W., Lakeville; 952-469-2739; lakevillebrewing.com) in downtown Lakeville will donate a portion of brunch proceeds that day while encouraging patrons with long hair to cut it in order to provide hair pieces to children with hair-loss issues.
The pub is going so far as to offer free hair-cutting services on the spot. In order to donate, your hair must be clean, secured with a binder and at least 8 inches long. All hair cut will be sent to Children with Hair Loss.
In addition to funds raised through food sales, the pub also will accept cash/check donations. You can donate to the cause, in any amount. (Make checks payable to “Children With Hair Loss”).
The goal for the day is to gather enough hair (10 to 15 ponytails) and money ($100 to $1,800) to make a hair system for one child. Children with Hair Loss does not charge children for their services.
