Heading to Glastonbury? Here’s your ultimate festival hair guide – Telegraph.co.uk

Packing for a festival? Forget about your mini shampoo and conditioner, after all, who has the energy to wash their hair mid-festival? You can remove your dry shampoo while you’re at it too. It’s time to rethink your hair plan altogether.

It’s not about prolonging the life of your natural hair this summer. No, no, no, it’s about a considered three-day plan of action. That being a trio of fresh, on-trend styles for each day of your music-filled jaunt that will disguise the lack of washing. We spoke to the experts and here are two approaches to get you through three days of Glastonbury Festival

The Luxe approach

Day One: It might sound extravagant, but booking a blow-dry the morning before you leave could be the best pre-festival prep you do. “Having your hair styled by a professional helps keep the look for much longer, I suggest beach waves or curls with rollers,” says hair stylist and founder of Lockonego salon Jonathon Long.

If you’d rather do it yourself and blow-dry at home, start with a large round brush and a texturising spray, such L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni. Art Beach Waves, £11.25, advises Adam Reed. “This creates a soft tousled texture in the hair.  Just twist each section as you dry to achieve that worn-in texture,” he adds.
