Kim Kardashian West, Gigi Hadid and More in the Extreme Long Hair Length of the Season – Vogue.com

If you don’t know, now you know: Long hair is having a moment. Fresh off the Spring 2018 runways, where designers such as Burberry, Gucci and Michael Kors exhibited extreme manes, It-girls and models everywhere have been breathing new life into the show-stopping length. Making the street style cut this week are the women who are letting it all hang down–and keeping it wavy, no doubt a transition from sunnier days.

Leading the extreme long hair tribe is Kim Kardashian West, who first pushed her Calabasas-girl look into full-on Cher territory last year in Paris. This season, during New York Fashion Week, the social media star stepped out with similar lengths, only this time dyed a shocking new ice-cold color. It’s a double feat not fit for the weary: According to her master stylist Chris Appleton, the otherworldly move required a hot tools detox and months of training (with wigs, conditioning masks and frequent trim and dye appointments). Ever since, Kardashian West has been spotted sporting her long and shiny mane, tangled and free-flowing, a great look that offsets her midriff-baring workout ensembles.

Elsewhere, honeyed Victoria’s Secret alum Candice Swanepoel opted for Barbie-esque, waist-length hair and Emily Ratajkowski, who continues to prove that she isn’t afraid to take a beauty risk, whether permanent of temporary, fastened a pair of faux bangs to her long brunette lengths. But leave it to Queen Bey to pull off majorly long, second-day hair with the help of superstar genetics and (likely) a hint of dry shampoo. Continuing her good-haired pregnancy streak only months after giving birth to twins Rumi and Sir, the Vogue cover girl, whose never been afraid of flat ironing her hip-grazing lengths, has been updating her enviable look with a quick bend of a curling iron. Call it multi-tasking motherhood at its finest.
