Stash Sexy Scented Hair Mist By Sarah Jessica Parker Is Saving My Dirty Strands – Allure Magazine
It’s embarrassing how much perfume I have that I never use. I think it’s a mix of laziness (I’m always running out of the house late) and my varying mood when I don’t feel like smelling un-natural. I get migraines and I’m pretty sensitive to smells, so I tend just to go with whatever fresh-smelling body lotion I put on that morning. (Lush Dream Cream is my current favorite because of the subtle lavender smell.) That’s why I was so surprised to love Stash Sexy Scented Hair Mist By Sarah Jessica Parker. I haven’t tried her popular Stash perfume, Parker’s third fragrance, but I’ve always heard great things around the Allure office about it. So when the hair mist version of Stash hit my desk, I figured I would give that a shot, since mists tend to be less fragrant.
Having not washed my hair for, um, five days (oops), it was a perfect time to try it. My strands were smelling like a mix of dry shampoo and possibly sweat but please try not to judge me. I sprayed the hair mist through my strands kind of like I would dry shampoo, but concentrated less on my roots. I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty and yes, sexy, it smelled. It’s as if perfume and dry shampoo had a baby. When I asked my colleagues to smell my hair (always a fun request), they too were surprised at how nice it smelled and how it wasn’t overpowering at all.
All of this yumminess is thanks to top notes of grapefruit zest, black pepper, and sage, middle notes of cedarwood atlas, patchouli, ginger lily, and pistachio, and dry notes of olibanum, massoia wood, vetiver, and musk. I think I like it so much because it’s a bit musty, and not too feminine (much like the perfume itself, I hear).
If you want to pick up Stash Sexy Scented Hair Mist By Sarah Jessica Parker for yourself, it’s available June 22 for $30 at ulta.com. You too can make your dirty hair smell like I imagine SJP smells — all the time.
