Three armed crooks forced their way into a 96-year-old woman’s Bronx apartment — and held the victim’s home health aide captive by her hair, police said Wednesday.
The men rapped on the door of the apartment on Spofford Ave. near Tiffany St. in Hunts Point around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 23rd, cops said.
When the 21-year-old health aide opened the door, the gun-wielding burglars busted in and grabbed her by the hair, cops said.
One of the brutes held onto the aide’s hair as the other two rifled through the apartment before leaving empty handed, authorities said.
The home attendant and the elderly woman in her care were unharmed.
Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage of the crooks walking out of the lobby of the building.
The three men are described as black and between 30 and 45. One of them wore a black baseball cap, white T-shirt, black long sleeve shirt, black jeans and black sneakers. The second suspect wore a black baseball cap, gray shirt, blue jeans and dark colored shoes. The final suspect wore a black baseball cap, black T-shirt, red shorts and white sneakers.
