Boohoo has released a super cheap makeup range

Boohoo has released its own makeup range and it all looks seriously impressive.

The squiggle trend has jumped from our brows to our lashes

As it’s a fashion brand, we don’t expect much in terms of makeup. We’re just hoping Boohoo will bring us clothes at a decent price.

So we were pleasantly surprised when we saw all the effort the online store had gone to fill our makeup bags with pretty products.

Boohoo is selling a collection of 29 different beauty products, including matte lipsticks, illuminating primers, pigmented eyeshadows, eyeliners contour palettes and even some cute makeup brushes.

And in true Boohoo fashion, it’s all really reasonably priced.

With matte lipsticks and liners starting at just £4 and palettes at £5, the most expensive item on the list is the four-piece precision brushes, which are almost too pretty to want to use.

Everyone knows that cheap makeup can often be cheap for a reason – it’s just not any good. However, many beauty bloggers who have tried and tested the collection have been pretty pleased with the results.

Charlotte Mealing, a 21-year-old blogger, recently reviewed a Boohoo highlighter and some matte lipsticks on her blog, Multibendybeauty.

Charlotte explained that though she wasn’t immediately drawn in by the gold packaging, she was pleasantly surprised by the highlighter.

In her review, she wrote: ‘In terms of swatches, these perform a lot better than I first anticipated.

‘I was pleasantly surprised by how soft these were to the touch and how well the pigment came off in the swatches.

‘I don’t think that I’d say these are the most blinding highlights but I do think they’re super pretty.’

On the matte lipstick, Charlotte went for a red colour. While she said the colour didn’t suit her, the lipstick ‘glides on well’ and the pigment shows up in one swipe.

While we can’t speak for all products, it Boohoo’s makeup range sounds worth a try.

Of course, like all things, we expect it to be a bit hit-and-miss in terms of how long the makeup will last – but when you’re buying palettes for a fiver, you can’t really complain.
